Mr. Grutz was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1940. He received his B.A. from Loras College in 1963 and his J.D. from Northwestern University in 1966. He was admitted to the bar in Washington in 1967. From 1967 to 1968, he was Clerk to Chief Justice Robert C. Finley at the Washington State Supreme Court. Mr. Grutz is a member of the King County, Washington State and American Bar Associations; the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is currently of counsel with the firm.
