Rachel Scott was born in Seattle, Washington in 1976. She received her B.A. from the University of Washington in 1998 and her J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law in 2001. While at the University of Montana, she was a member of the national moot court team, and was treasurer and the magister of Phi Delta Phi legal fraternity. In 2002 she earned a LL.M. in Public International Law at the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law in Finland. Ms. Scott was admitted to the Washington bar in 2001. She is a member of Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Association for Justice. Ms. Scott's practice emphasizes personal injury, workers' compensation, and disability insurance. Ms. Scott was named a Rising Star attorney by Washington Law & Politics Magazine for 2006.
